Solution

Corrosive Environment Monitoring

Monitoring for chemical, coastal and washdown environments.

The problem

Chemical plants, coastal facilities, desalination and washdown areas destroy standard camera housings. Corrosion of enclosures and brackets is the usual failure mode, not the electronics.

For corrosive environments we specify stainless steel housings — 316L wherever chloride exposure is present — with the right ingress rating, surface finish and mounting hardware. Housing material, IP rating and operating temperature are published per product so the selection can be justified in a procurement review.

What we deliver

  • 316L stainless steel camera selection
  • Ingress rating and temperature range review per site
  • Corrosion-resistant brackets and junction boxes
  • Guidance on washdown and cleaning compatibility

Frequently asked

304 or 316L stainless steel?
316L is specified for chloride and marine exposure. 304 may be acceptable in sheltered inland locations, and we will say so when the product data supports it.
